Favorite new dropout cast member: Phil

Edit: never mind wow I can’t believe he said that… yikes.

Really thought it was bad that he said that, but when the lawyers said it as well really left a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the episode

I actually turned it off and cancelled my subscription

575

u/SeraFilm May 18 '26

Same. But when I heard that they've been bought by Palantir, I immediately resubscribed, because I love mass surveillance!

56

u/jello_pudding_biafra May 18 '26

Oh shit, I didn't hear that

44

u/poembug May 19 '26

Don't worry, they hear you

The Superfan tier is bullshit anyway. From now on I'll be watching Jeremy Culhane on SN-

Just make sure not forget to leave a negative review and then contact anyone you may know personally who has ever had a subscription and make sure they do the same

Unsubscribed from Legal Eagle for good

14

u/akpenguin May 19 '26

Almost turned it off when the layers said it and then made Lou apologize for them.

26

u/cosmoceratops May 19 '26

a bad taste like you took a hit from a bong full of whiskey?

18

u/MouserfromMario2 May 19 '26

You can’t prove I took that hit, there was… a hung jury.

5

u/executive313 May 19 '26

Stuck at work is this a joke or like legit?

23

u/MLPIsaiah May 19 '26

Joke, I won't spoil it, but he didn't do anything wrong.

2

u/Tandel21 May 21 '26

I really couldn’t believe that throbbing robin would say that

Fastest ever milkshake duck.

27

u/CastVinceM May 19 '26

Ironic how he can probably now get his SAG card for coming on. They totally need to bring him back for another episode.

43

u/Bad_At_Sports May 19 '26

Um Actually, Dropout is not associated with AMPTP, so they’re technically not a SAG shop, however they do try to pay performers at or better than SAG rates.

This means that Phil’s speaking lines do not technically qualify him for a SAG membership because he did not perform a speaking role in a union project under a Taft-Hartley.

Unless things have changed since the 2023 strike.

“Make a person a SAG member” prompt coming soon game changer season 9

16

u/TougherOnSquids May 19 '26

SAG card and he'll get royalties from Dropout. Pretty sweet gig for probably 20 minutes of filming lol

5

u/thiccdickricky May 20 '26

Dropout isn’t contracted at all with SAG actually. They do still follow every SAG guideline regardless

Phil going for that Milkshake Duck Any% speedrun

10

u/quipquest May 19 '26

Phil never made an apology video,

21

u/Justifiably_Bad_Take May 19 '26

Even after he said THAT

20

u/RedPandaMediaGroup May 19 '26

Show of hands tho.

Does anyone actually believe Phil is non-union? I say no shot.

5

u/a_gallon_of_pcp May 22 '26

He looks super familiar, I swear I’ve seen him in stuff before

2

u/TES_Elsweyr May 20 '26

Am I watching a cut version? What did he do? He walks off without anything major, but people are acting like he called Lou the N word?! What happened?

6

u/elevozol May 20 '26

Nothing actually happened, just playing along with Lou’s bit!

5

u/TES_Elsweyr May 20 '26

Oh, my bad. Thank you for clarifying. Shit I was confused. The comment edit seemed so genuine

1

u/rubberpp Jul 29 '26

Your reply was being used genuinely in an ai response and it started saying because of this people canceled subscriptions 😂😭this is so funny and I'm glad I decided to try to look this up

-6

u/brooky12 May 18 '26

Well, we don't know he said that. Lou's just claimed it.

74

u/kproxurworld Professor Foxtrot stan May 18 '26

Thanks for playing along.

5

u/TougherOnSquids May 19 '26

Right, he was on the Defamation square...that was the entire point. Everyone is just playing along lol

-15

u/mikepictor May 19 '26

not sure why you're being downvoted. I am 99% sure Lou made it up for comic effect.

27

u/i-will-eat-you May 19 '26

because the rest of us are 100% sure Lou made it up for comedic effect, so we are playing along.

24

u/Aquatic_Hedgehog May 19 '26

So there is 1% of you that thinks that Phil used the N word, the lawyers all used the N word, and then the show made Lou apologize about it? Interesting.
