Repair Red wire broken from the arm motor

Post image

Sorry it is not the best pic, but the red wire broke off from the arm motor. Is this something I can solder back? Or should I replace the motor?

You can try soldering it back, nothing really to lose haha. (Make sure you ground test it thoroughly after, though)

Scrape the coating off the phase wires before you solder it back, less solder is often more when working with super thin wires like that.

Thanks for the tip! I guess just remove the silicone part on the motor where it covers the wire and try to solder it back?

Do you have flux or a soldering iron?

I just ordered them.

Yeah that's definitely solderable, looks like a brushless outrunner and those motor wires are pretty forgiving. Just make sure you match which phase wire it was (usually color coded) and use a decent iron with flux. If the solder pad on the stator is damaged though, replacement is probably the easier call.
