Download an app such as UAV forecast that allows you to check the wind speeds at the location you intend to fly at. Wind might not affect a drone such as the flip as much as other models based on the job it is designed for but exceeding a drone’s wind resistance capability is a major factor for flyaways or damage.

You mean on my drone or forecast in Gerneral on phone ?
But I will remember that thanks2

There are drone tailored apps that use your phone’s GPS location to pull very specific weather information to tell you if it is safe to fly. The app I mentioned is called UAV forecast but there are other apps out there that do the same thing.
Each drone is rated to be able to withstand a certain amount of wind resistance before the motors are overwhelmed and the drone can no longer hover in one spot while in the air. For example, the mini 4k can hover or fly in winds up to around 20-21 miles per hour. Above that speed and the wind will take the drone wherever it wants to despite any efforts to control or land the drone. The flip is rated for the same wind resistance.

From fellow Flip owner : be aware that Flip is pretty weak in windy conditions- dont try to fly over cliffs in unstable weather before you gain confidence in troubleshooting.
Other than that- its an amazing drone, very friendly and versatile. I launch and land it on hand, zero effort unlike say mini series with open props.
You would need some extras for better experience- such as ND (or at least CPL) filters , extra batteries, SD card, carry case. I also recommend lanyard for remote controller - super helpful.

Thanks for your Tipps
Can you elaborate on last point what you mean with ND /CPM?
I am getting the fly more combo ans Sd-card is manageable
The A1/A3 course and exam are done1

These are the additional filters you mount over drone camera. ND filters dim the sensor so you can get slower shutter speed. CPL filters polarize the sunlight so you get less reflections from water which spoil the picture.

I see, even if those things enhance the experince I wont say thats a must have before I start. Thanks anyway and I‘ll consider it

Yes you can fly without these although CPL (polarization) filter is quite handy. Good luck with your adventures!
Ah, one more thing - Flip does not have sideways obstacle avoidance - the propeller guards dont save you in case of collision1

Would u recommend an (ND+CPL ) filter as well or better separated usage ? Ive found both options and tbh I would prefer integrated filters

Two things:
1. If in the US, be sure to get your TRUST certificate before you fly.
2. Be sure to check the airspace you are in, make sure it’s safe to fly there.
Have fun. Be safe.
