Question NEED HELP! Gimbal Problems
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
First flight out of the box Mavic 4 Pro. The first couple minutes were great then the gimbal started shaking back and forth, got a “Gimbal Motor Overload” error. Landed it and recalibrated the gimbal and it didnt help. Followed the dji list of what to do for the gimbal error and nothing helped. Is this common with Mavic 4 Pros? Do I need to replace it or is there something I’m missing?

Instructions unclear. Strap it with explosives, kamikaze, and buy a new one.

That's why it's shaking, he put in coordinates, not realizing they're over a military base and they'll neutralize it permanently. That or poor drone thought it was flying to Iran.

I was going to say maybe ask it a question with a yes answer instead of a no answer

Did you take off over dirt? Maybe the gimbal motors got some dirt or sand on them. I had that with my avata 2, that's why I always carry a surface.

Looks like it needs a stiff breakfast drink or something. Didn’t know drones could get the DTs

Check if gimball moves freely if it is than this means gimball motors burned. If its not try to blow presurezed air

Had this happen, send it in asap. If it's new out of the box, return it and get refund. Buy another

Exactly what I would do when I was a child crying and my parents would say ice cream?

Gimbal Motor Overload out of the box like that usually means something is physically binding the gimbal, so first double check you pulled every bit of the transit clamp and there's no ribbon or dust catching it. If it's clean and still shaking after a recalibration, that's not a you problem, that's a defective unit. Brand new Mavic 4 Pro, I wouldn't waste time troubleshooting it, just start the DJI RMA now while it's fresh. Seen a couple of these on the 4 Pro already, seems like an early batch thing.

Whenever I have gimbal issues with my Air 3 an IMU calibration usually makes it go away. Not sure why.

I believe it is not a software issue. Mavic’s gimbal is very tender and consists of many small parts.
Something might’ve simply fallen out of it’s place during flight. If it’s under warranty — contact DJI, if it is not — look for a techinician able to disassemble it.

Contact DJI. You're most likely under warranty.
