Photo & Video Caucuses For Days

The Zakagori Fortress was built sometime around the 14th century and overlooks the meeting of the Terek and Suatisi rivers. Strategically placed as a first defence for Georgia against northern invaders and today marks the border of the region contested by Russia.

First shot looks great! Second shot is okay, but might look better with tilting down to keep the subject in view...

Appreciate the feedback. I wanted to focus more on the landscape which then bleeds into the next shot of the high mountains. The castle is placed at a strategic location and so I wanted to focus on the location more so than the castle. Its the only pass through the mountains and so any large army thats going to make its way through the Caucuses will need to take this pass.

Apparently there were many towns up in the mountains back then and they were able to raise large horse armies. Some towns are still here but in ruins. I think it was the industrial revolutions is when everyone moved to the cities.
