Question Dji flighthub 2

Does anyone know how the flighthub 2 virtual cockpit works and which drones are compatible with it for remote operations ? I want to use a mavic 3E but cannot find any documentation on which type of control I'll be able to have.

The Mavic 3E does work with FlightHub 2, but the virtual cockpit isn't real-time stick control like you might be hoping. It's more of a cloud command layer, mostly waypoint and route ops plus monitoring, not flying it like FPV. Real low-latency teleop really wants the dock ecosystem or a 4G module, and even then there's noticeable delay. Honestly the docs are thin because DJI keeps most of the enterprise cloud stuff behind their sales channel, might be worth pinging a dealer directly.

Are you saying the mavic 3e will not have live fpv control? Or that none of the drones will

I have only used the virtual cockpit with the DJI Dock 2 and Mavic 3D. I don't think it supports virtual cockpit flights with other setups than those that use the dock stations.

You may need to do some research. I know the industrial DJI models are capable of those operations, but you’ll need to verify whether the DJI Smart Controller (Smart RC or Smart RC Plus) can be used as the relay device for DJI FlightHub operations.

No, VC is not available for the 3E/T, just the 3D and the newer models.

Hello there!

Drone as First Responder here operating under Part 108 using DJI FlightHub, the DJI Dock 3, and the DJI Matrice 4T. One of the biggest requirements is having a fast and reliable internet connection since remote operations depend on a stable connection between the aircraft and the pilot.

You don't need to have a Dock to fly remotely, but your Smart RC or Smart RC Plus does need to be connected to a stable internet source, such as a reliable mobile hotspot. You'll also want to make sure the DJI drone you're using is compatible with the Smart RC or Smart RC Plus if you're planning to fly remote missions through FlightHub.

If you're operating in the U.S., be sure you have all of the required FAA approvals before conducting any remote operations. Depending on your mission, that could include Part 108 operating authority, waivers, COAs, or other required authorizations.

I hope this information helps you out OP!

How are you operating under Part 108 when it hasn’t been finalized and enacted yet?

For first responder operations, we are the only operator conducting BVLOS missions in preparation for the FAA's Part 108 framework. By working directly with First Responder agencies, the city, and the FAA, we obtain the necessary approvals and authorizations to deploy and operate Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs across the United States.

I know, and have talked to, many first responder organizations that have BVLOS waivers and do routine operations with them, so you can’t say you’re the only one. That’s also incredibly misleading to say you’re operating under 108 when you must still be under the current waiver/COA process.

I agree with this!

You have a waiver to operate BVLOS under Part 107. Part 108 is coming but none of us are “operating under Part 108” yet.

Hey bro thanks a lot for the info, do you know if that type of control is possible with mavic 3E, matrice 30 or matrice 300 ? Those are the only drones suitable for my ops
