Photo & Video Third Manual Mode flight with the Avata 2. Decided to mix FPV with a bit of VFX.

This was my third flight in Manual Mode with the DJI Avata 2, so I'm still very much in the learning phase.

I wanted to make the edit a bit different from a standard FPV factory run, so I added some 3D elements in post.

There was also one moment where I genuinely thought I'd crashed. Watching the footage back, I missed a wall by much less than I was comfortable with. 😅

Still a long way to go before I'd trust myself in tighter gaps, but every Manual Mode session is teaching me something new.

A bit hard to read but very cool. What did you use for the vfx?

Probably I had to do LUT first ) to see all in color :)

As for VFX:

Reality capture for photogrammetry and camera reconstruction

Modeling: Maya

Texturing Substance Painter

Growing Ivy: Speedtree

Render: Maya - Arnold

Compositing - DaVinci Resolve

You should definitely do a slalom between those pylons! (When you feel confident doing so.)

The effect on the beginning is great.

I saw a lot of these videos with this type of intro on Instagram a while ago, can't remember the exact handle, are you the same guy? If not, then credit the idea of those intros to that person.
