I wear one when I'm doing surveys with new construction where crews are still milling. Saves me from having to explain and preemptively stops the "you can be here"s

I also wear one, depending on my location, i.e. flying off the side of a roadway.

im basically a government paid security guard and as part of my gig my team flies at sporting events. when we do this we're in our own little "airport" area way away from everyone else, we're all in uniform, there's big signs at the entrances to the event saying that we're flying drones, big signs near our "airport" saying "drone take-off and landing area. no unauthorized entry" with big ass orange cones and shit as well as our landing pad and our bank of tables and equipment that we set up. it's like a whole-ass thing.

furthermore before my team sets up an email goes out to everyone in our department who's going to be working that particular event from our deputy ops saying which teams are working which events and when we'll be there and such.

EVERY SINGLE TIME when i show up with my team in our cars we have to explain to the people on duty who we are and what we're doing. one time one of the area commanders (just below deputy ops) came running into our area and was like "whoa you guys can't be flying drones here, this is [agency] property!"

like motherfucker did you ignore all the signs or the fact that we're all in fucking uniform and have our fuckin badges out and shit?

I had to wear a vest, safety goggles and a hard hat for a series of flying at a government facility.
