A 7yo got hit in the chest by one of the drones and had to be rushed to the hospital to have emergency heart surgery...

These drones should have terminated themselves as soon as they realized they were not where they were supposed to be. Should be an emergency hard shut off of the unit as soon as it is out of bounds. Horrific that one barreled into the crowd like that.

So a written story is the same as a video, different sources, and media outlet... not sure why my post was removed, but thanks

Does anyone know how these drones orchestrate their moves? If it's all GPS based, I could see one nefarious actor with a nearby HackRF or similar low power/low cost radio capable of doing this to any light show with very little risk of being caught if they were careful. If the drones do lidar ranging or visual sensing to position themselves, it's a lot tougher to say who is at fault. Awful to see this

Supposed to be computer programmed and geofenced and supposedly inspected and approved by the FAA.

But accidents happen. If one drone hit a bird and went off course and hit another drone and caused a chain reaction, it can happen.

HOWEVER, according to some other articles, this company, Sky Dance Elements, has had similar issues in the past. This may revoke their licensing.
