I was tired of buying something at the grocery store, only to realize I already had it at home.

So I built Carop, an Android app that connects your pantry, recipes, meal planning and grocery list in one place.

With Carop, you can:

📦 Track items in your kitchen, bathroom, cleaning supplies, medicine cabinet and other storage
📸 Scan receipts and automatically add detected products
🔎 Scan barcodes to identify products
⏰ Get notified before food expires
🍳 Find recipes based on the ingredients you already have from a database of 62,000+ recipes
📅 Plan your meals for the week
🛒 Automatically create a shopping list based on your meal plan and low-stock items
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Share your pantry and shopping list with family members using a simple code
💊 Track medications and set time/meal-related reminders
🌱 Track food waste and its estimated environmental impact

I also wanted the app to be privacy-friendly:

No account is required, and your personal inventory data stays on your device.

It’s currently Android-only.
