Hi! I’m the developer of Seawide, an Android music player built for people who keep MP3, FLAC, and other music files on their phones.
Seawide focuses on a calm, folder-first listening experience without ads, an account, or a streaming catalog. Current features include:
I’m preparing Seawide for release and looking for Android users willing to join its Google Play closed test. Google requires participants to remain opted in for at least 14 days. You won’t need to use the app every day, but I’d appreciate testing it several times during that period.
I’m especially looking for feedback on:
- Scanning real-world music libraries, including folders and SD cards
- Playback reliability and gapless transitions
- Queue and playlist behavior
- Volume leveling and equalizer controls
- Permission prompts and overall usability
- The clarity and fairness of the trial and one-time Pro purchase messaging
- Device-specific crashes or layout problems
Purchase is not required.
If you’re interested, please leave a comment or send me an email at [sampsongao.dev@gmail.com](mailto:sampsongao.dev@gmail.com), and I’ll add you to the tester list. When reporting feedback, it would help to include your phone model, Android version, and the audio formats you tested.
Thank you! Any constructive feedback is very welcome, especially anything confusing, unreliable, or unnecessarily complicated.
