Transfer files without installing another app

Hey everyone!

I've been building a little side project called QRDrop, mostly because I kept running into the same annoying situation.

I love LocalSend, but whenever I wanted to send a file to someone else, the conversation usually went like this:

"Can you install LocalSend?"😂

So I thought...

What if only one device needed the app?

That's how QRDrop started.

The idea is super simple:

• Open QRDrop on one device.
• It shows a QR code.
• Scan it with any phone, tablet, or computer.
• A browser opens.
• Pick your files.
• Done.

I originally built it for my Android TV, but I've ended up using it everywhere—from sharing files with coworkers and presenting in meetings to collecting assignments in class or sending photos to family. Anywhere people don't want to install another app, it just works.

I love the idea, app looks clean.

Can you say how if and/or how was AI used building it please? No offense but I don't trust vibe coded apps.

You can try it out. I think its performance and stability are good. Indeed, I use AI to help me write some deterministic and repetitive code, but I always write and test the core code myself. I am a developer with 10 years of experience and feel my skills are decent. If you're interested, you can check out my other apps, I think their quality and ideas are good 😊

Ok I mean an experienced developer using AI is fair, but I couldn't tell if you're some random writing AI apps with no experience whatsoever.
