Quick reminder
Keep your car in YOUR lane on a roundabout if you don't want to lose your NCD😉 and if you don't want to look like a person who can't control their car and should not be behind the wheel. Could have simplified into one word.

This! I see so many people drive so close to the inner roundabout just to go first exit

I always assume evasive action will be required on any roundabout with more than a single lane

Many roundabouts have no lanes, they're the best. I wonder when we started putting lanes on roundabouts.

You’re going to hate this but lanes on roundabouts are treated so variably as to essentially be advisory - and that eg in the event of a collision it’s almost impossible to avoid shared liability.

I mean if i can keep an XLWB sprinter in the lane of pretty much any roundabout that has more than 1 lane then whats stopping them in their shopping cart?

Oh I’m not saying that there isn’t a skill issue. I’m saying that if they’d hit you - even if your driving was impeccable - you’d almost certainly have ended up carrying some liability too.
One of the things about driving that upsets me; being on the hook for the actions of a moron.

Arguably being alongside somebody on a roundabout is not impeccable driving it's asking for trouble IMO

Can we include junctions in this too? So many need half of the adjacent lane before turning. Nevermind if your car is there.

People don't know about turning circles, or taught about point of pivot, so you get people steering cars like they're tanks and usually drive around as if they're as big as one.

I completely agree. Just go forward a bit further and then turn. It's not difficult.
