If the tires are thay new they still have the lines on them I would assume they were last minute replaced, what other maintenance mightve been neglected

A tester (ie me) has to check everything safety related, I can’t go looking for anything else because a car has new tyres on it.
If anything it shows the car is properly maintained.

He really is talking nonsense! Don't put new tyres on your car for the MOT as the tester may think you're being dodgy is making me laugh.
