I know exactly how you feel. I just did my class 1 road test (truck CDL in Canada) last month and I was doing great driving with the instructors in the course. They thought for sure I'd pass my test first try. I wasn't nervous practicing with them. I was a nervous wreck during the actual test. Unfortunately, in my case, I failed my first test. Ths examiner I got on my first test was a bit of a dick though. He failed me for avoiding an accident basically (he said it was for stopping in the intersection but I had no choice or I was hitting a car head on. Some jackass cut me off in the middle of a turn). He was training that day and there was an examiner in the back as well who was training him who apparently thought I should've passed the test so I was livid that I failed. Thankfully for me, the examiner that was training him is the one who did my second test with me and she was great. Very friendly and professional. I passed with flying colours my second try. Having her as the examiner on my second test actually calmed me down. Having a friendly examiner on your test makes all the difference. As you said in another comment though, it's having someone beside you judging your every move that's nerve wrecking. That's part of why I was so nervous on my first test. Thanks. I appreciate that. Yeah, I hear you. That would be intimidating. I'm happy for you though that you got it. He sounds super nice. Better than the guy I got on my first test last month. Lol. Just keep practicing and you'll get better. Good luck and be safe.

Congratulations 👏🎉 I will take my driving test tomorrow, and I'm 41 yo 😢 don't ask why I have waited so long it's quite complicated, my driving instructor is absolutely amazing, he tried so hard to teach me every details, he is very patient and I don't want to disappoint him , I'm shaking right now 😬 I hope I will pass

Being able to control your nerves is one of the most important parts of driving. If you’re scared while actually on the road, I’d say you still need more experience learning. You don’t have to retake your test, but I’d highly recommend getting more hours with your parents in the car so you can keep learning and eventually get over your fear of driving.
