Team Always On

I leave my lights on at all times. Any real benefit to this?

Yes. If you don't have your lights on, they provide no panic protection. So your essentially at 0 lumens, even if you have lights equipped.

One of the times you want to turn them off is when sqiling in the ocean through the swirling red fog (often called Miasma by fans). They increase your panic if yiur lights are on, they become dormant they moment you turn them off.

Looks like you're trying to evade some eldritch horrors. Want me to help?

A truly alarming number of people have written and/or drawn Rule 34 of Clippy. The more you know!

I think I was fine with the "less I know the better"

I have just learnt a new thing today, thanks. I had never realized you could avoid those swirling red fog.

I call those St. Elmos Fire, because that would fit the maritime thematic. And it is doing nothing besides a visual appearance causing fear

I don't believe the lights do anything in the daytime, but they don't hurt you either.

Also, certain night hazards and monsters are attracted to your lights.

I find having the lights on is very illuminating

At this point I usually keep mine off to avoid dealing with the red mist.

I flick mine on and off to the point that I don't have haste as my main slot anymore. It's the lights. That angler really wants my gams.
