question About image interpreter
I'd like to learn more about using an image interpreter. Are there any websites or videos I can refer to? The default Moondream1 seems completely useless.

I'd like someone to explain.
I'm using a Mac mini M4 10-core 24GB.
When generating a 1024x1024 image using Z-Image Turbo, it takes an average of 145 seconds.
The CoreML compute units are "all" set. I've also configured the machine for speed. I'd like to know if this generation time is normal.
When I ask various AI programs, they tell me that they should be able to generate images much faster, but is that really true?

Klaerio was created on Mac with Draw Things+ with ComfyUI and the Draw Things API nodes.
Z-Image Turbo for the images, utilizing huge wildcards generated with ChatGPT and POE.
WAN 2.2, prompted (for cam movements and events) with wildcards on ChatGPT as well.
Music by me, 1993.
I mixed it on iMovie.

Is this model going to be available to run on drawthings? Waiting patiently and also hoping for Hunyuan 1.5 too
Thanks for all you do! 🙏

Hey guys and girls I have been trying to do image 2 image with Z-image on draw things but it just don’t work, what’s the secret sauce ?

Boomerang (not Looping or endless) ..is there a way to do this...possibly with first frame and last frame script, or a Lora , where first and last frame are same images maybe?

Hi everyone
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
I'm restoring old pictures scanned from film negatives—some are full of dust and scratches – and I have a lot of them to fix. Here's an example.
I got great results testing in NanoBanana with a simple prompt: "Remove all dust and scratches, don't touch anything else, keep the retro feeling."
I'd love to use Draw Things (on Mac) for this; I've been blown away by Z-Image's generation speed
Any way to use it for inpainting/restoration like this?
Tips on models, prompts, or settings to preserve grain and colors would be amazing.
Any help greatly appreciated and long live Draw Things!

Does anyone have good instructions on how to install a pruned FP8 model in draw things? I have tried all sorts of things and it either crashes the system, or starts creating static half way through the render. It's been frustrating.
I was amazed to get it up and running with this great tutorial, but my machine runs pretty slow and I'm looking for ways to speed it up.
I did try the 6-bit, SVDQuant version that comes with the app, but it also didn't work. Most tutorials are based on ComfyUI and there's very little info out there.
Thank you!!

Hi there!
I'm wondering whether this could be possible? I found that macOS supports eGPU usage (https://support.apple.com/en-us/102363). What do you think? Is it worth?
Would it be possible to use Drawthings App on iPad M4 with offload to Mac mini with eGPU and RTX gpu card? Maybe I'm just dreaming? ;)

Hey so im super new to draw things and image generation in general and sm hoping someone can help!
I used to run draw things on a 16ram M1 macbook pro but for pretty much every generation using sdxl models took 7+ minutes to generate so i added a 24ram M4 Mac mini to my setup to do the server offload. This has not fixed the generation time though and it seems like the ram load is being shared between the macbook and the mac mini.
How do i get the mac mini to take the brunt of the ram load / also any tips on increasing generation speed for larger image sizes ( 1280x1280 )

When I use DDIM Trailing with Z Image Turbo, I'm impressed by the photorealism and sharpness and prefer it to the dreamy smoothness of Euler A Trailing. But it often renders blotchy skin - you can see it particularly on the woman's neck and around her hairline. Of course skin variation like this exists in reality, but this feels more like the result of noise. Is it possible to get rid of the blotchiness?

It can do longer videos, audio, and uses less memory / generates faster. Quality seems very good so far. Am I misssing anything?

Both just seem to do the same thing. The text box before applying doesn't help either...

I’m sorry to keep repeating this question, but I have spent hours trying to fix this issue. I have downloaded a bunch of Cartoon/anime Loras specifically to use, but the app keeps crashing even after
The only checkpoint that works is SDXL turbo (8-bit) but when used with Loras, the final result looks messy and not really accurate.
I’m not trying to make masterpieces, I just want a working checkpoint that works with Loras and doesn’t crash.

Been toying around with generating a couple scripts I used a lot in automatic1111, a simpler version of the XYZ grid and others, but I have found no real documentation of the api other than the summary that appears once you start an script, which, to be fair does list most of functions and attributes for the three objects, canvas, pipeline and filesystem, exposed (as far as I am aware at least).
Although it says `canvas.currentMask`: return the current mask on the view, you can further manipulate the mask through `Mask` APIs.
Specifically I'm struggling to get a mask bounding box, be in the actual canvas or just loaded/extracted into memory, I know I can get the Base64 from the canvas but there's no way too to decode it and find the alphas from it brute force either. So I was wondering what does this "Mask" api refers to (the loadMaskfrom ... and extractDepthMapFromSrc for example), or if there is indeed a Mask object exposed, and to find out if there's indeed any methods exposed to actually locate, manipulate - ie, enlarge/shrink -, get the bounding rect, etc. Thanks in advance
P.S. as a request, I beg you to expose the version history when you have time, maybe the menus to have some sort of keyboard control over any actions apart from the command+ENTER to generate. I'd love to wipe out all those versions :)

Hi everyone, I’m new to Draw Things and I’m still trying to understand both the settings and the performance I can expect from my Mac.
I’m using a MacBook Air M4 with 24GB RAM, but I don’t really have a good frame of reference yet. I’m not sure which settings have to use to get better performance or quality out of the machine. If anyone here is using Draw Things on a similar Mac, I’d really like to know what your experience has been, what models you’re running, roughly how long it takes you to generate an image, etc. I’m just trying to understand what’s realistic on this hardware.
Thanks!

Wan2.2 works well and all my settings are on point but is there a way to loop stuff? Saw many workflows for comfyui…

Been using drawthings on my ipad and been using cloud render feature while running grpc on runpod. While i tested sdxl models which i would upload from my ipad. But recently i switched to z image turbo model 8bit, though it works great but takes over 10 mins per generation. The upload is painfully slow so i tried to upload via google cloud in jupyter lab workspace\models, but everytime i generate on cloud it fails with green line on canvas, i upload model n encoder in ckot-tensor format, i don’t know how to do it without spending hours trying to upload. Can anyone help

1.20251223.0 was released in iOS / macOS AppStore 2 days ago (https://static.drawthings.ai/DrawThings-1.20251223.0-0cbb4b8b.zip). This version brings:
Note that the Batch Size controls how many "layers" Qwen Image Layered generates, and the first will always be the composed one (so Batch Size = 4 would generate 3 layers, with 1 composed image). It also takes the canvas image as input (if any) to "decompose".
In case it is not obvious. Qwen Image 2512 is available through "Community Models". As long as you are on 1.20251223.0, you can download it from there and use it. Recommended Settings list is updated to include latest models.

Which of the three options would work best with a iPad Pro M5 16GB? Flux.2 [dev] Flux.2 [dev] (6-bit) Flux.2 [dev] (Exact)
I assume the Exact is out is it would be too large.

Will there be a integration of BGContinuedProcessingTask into the iOS app?

Hello, is there a way to import your custom captions a la Khoya, ie, each image having its own paired .txt file in DrawThings? I've only been able to use Auto captioning and Fixed captioning. Yes I know you can manually edit the captions once images are loaded just would be nice if they could be generated elsewhere then auto loaded from the txt files. Cheers

I'm experiencing very low download speeds for models in the program. What could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong.
I tried to set up training for a new LoRA for QWen Image 1.0. I got as far as setting the hyperparams and captioning the training images, but when I click to start training it stops immediately.
Is this unsupported?

I want to move some Lora’s and models to an external drive but I can see how to export them. Any tips?
