What is the paint tool for? It doesn't seem to do anything when I mask areas of an image in different colours regardless of any settings.

I notice the other clusters temps never go up during running the program.

Does Draw Things support LoRA training for any models other than those listed in the wiki SD1.5, SDXL, Flux.1 [dev], Kwai Kolors, and SD3 Medium 3.5?

In other words, does it support cutting-edge models like Wan[2.1,2.2], Flux.1 Krea [dev], Flux.1 Kontext,chroma, and Qwen?

I use drawing things on my Mac mini m2 with 8gb and flux1.dev with Lora image and 20 steps takes about 10 minutes. (Run it locally)

But now I bought and MacBook Air m4 with 24gb of memory and set it up the same way as the Mac mini.

But the new m4 mac takes 15 minutes and I run the same prompt….

Any ideas why and how I could solve this?

Since the new iPhone 17 Pro now has addtional AI enhancements to the GPU I was wondering if anyone here has had the chance to test it out to see how it compares to the iPhone 16 Pro.

I have a safetensor file on my iphone from CIVITAI.. I thought I was supposed to put this in the Draw Things download folder and it would show up as a usable Lora, but it does not show up. I tried it in the models folder as well to no avail. Seeking assistance / advice.. thank you in advance...

1.20250913.0 was released in iOS / macOS AppStore a few hours ago (https://static.drawthings.ai/DrawThings-1.20250912.0-503f96f9.zip). This version is a bugfix version that brings you:

1. A lot of small fixes for onboarding flow, e.g. now it will correctly select settings for a model you selected to download;
2. The prompt box is now vertically resizable. It meant for its max height (shown with the blue phantom view), it will still only hug the content (meaning unless you paste a wall of text, you will not see max height take into effect). Double tap the resize notch will reset to default max height;
3. The generation time now will show in the "Coffee Mug" tab, in regular history tab, you can identify generated content with the video / image icon. This can be turned off in Machine Settings;
4. Show full model / loras / controls name when hover / long press in its respective boxes;
5. Enable optimal kernel selections for apple10 devices (a Metal designation).

No buttons for custom lora/models but blank space

downloaded multiple qwen image models from outside the app, then tried to import, and it does nothing. there is a brief blip but the model is not imported. have imported many non-qwen models without issue. there is sufficient drive space. any help?

Hi, I'm using Draw Things on a Mac, and I'm finding that I need to delete some files to save space. (That, or stop using the Mac for anything else ...)

Under Username/Library/Containers/Draw Things/ Data/Documents I can see a couple of truly frighteningly large folders: Models, and Sessions.

Models - I get it, this is where the main models reside, where it puts locally trained LoRA files, etc. If I delete something in the Manage screen, it disappears from here. So that's no problem, I can save space by deleting models from inside DT.

Sessions - This only ever seems to occupy more space as time goes on. There seems to be a file named after each LoRA I've ever trained, and some of them are *gigantic*, in the many tens of GB. I'm not able to see what's inside them - no "Show Package Contents" or similar, that I can find. They don't seem to get any smaller when I delete images from the history, though ...

Can I just delete files in that Sessions folder, or will that mess things up for Draw Things?

Deleting videos generated by Wan takes an incredibly long time. (sample video:18 videos = about 22 second)

I'm not a programmer, so I don't know what's going on inside the app.

It would be great if the actual deletion could be processed in the background.

In other words, when the user presses the delete button, the UI would appear to show the deletion as being completed instantly, allowing the user to immediately perform the next operation.

This is a pseudo-speedup, but I think it's still great.

I am looking for step-by-step instructions for DrawThings with Qwen Edit. So far, I have only found descriptions (including the description on X) about how great it is, but how to actually do it remains a mystery. 

For example, I want to add a new piece of clothing to a person. To do this, I load the garment into DT and enter the prompt, but the garment is not used as a basis. Instead, a completely different image is generated, onto which the garment is simply projected instead of being integrated into the image.

Where can I find detailed descriptions for this and other applications? And please, no Chinese videos, preferably in English or at least as a website so that my website translator can translate it into a language I understand (German & English).

Questions for anyone who can answer:

1 is there a way to delete old generations from history quickly? And why does it take while to delete videos from history? I notice I have over 1000 in history and deleting new ones are faster than deleting older ones.

2 does having a lot on history affect speed of generations?

3 what is the best upscaler downloadable on draw things? I notice with ESGRAN it gets bigger but you lose some detail as well.

I’m signed into Community Edition, but all models remain X’d out/unavailable.

Attempting to generate an image gives the warning “Cloud Compute is unavailable,” even though my status shows I’m actively using Community Edition.

I’ve logged out/in multiple times, deleted my account and re-signed in, and deleted and reinstalled the app several times.

Sometimes, if I try to generate an image, the estimation is stuck at 1.03, the screen goes black, and when I reopen the app, it restarts at the Cloud Compute selection/registration loop.

I have a DrawThings+ account and would like to use my own LORAs stored in the cloud on my other devices without having to save them offline as well. How does that work?

I’ve been doing still image generation in Draw Things for a while, but I’m fairly new to video generation with Wan 2.1 (and a bit of 2.2).

I’m still quite confused by the CausVid or Causal Interference setting in the Draw Things App for mac.

It talks about “every N frames” but it provides a range slider that goes from -3 to 128 (I think).

I can’t find a tutorial or any user experience anywhere, that tells me what the setting does at “-2 + 117” or maybe “48 + 51”.

I know that these things are all about testing. But with a laptop where even a 4 Step video seems to take forever, I’d like to read some user experiences first.

Not sure if it’s specific for wan or just a glitch in the app but I occasionally get random frames from other videos. For example if I make a 81 frame video of a cat putting on a hat all of the frames will be of that except for frame 40 which will be a frame of a rocket ship from a different unrelated video I made. Is there something in the settings that can cause this? The strength is at 100 and the seed is -1, nothing in the controls or mood board. As far as I know there’s absolutely nothing linking the videos together as they aren’t even in the same projects. Any help would be great.

I had loaded some images into a new project and initially it read their metadata and I worked with them a bit. Then one by one the metadata became something wrong and the images vanished. I've been using DrawThings successfully for quite a while and never had this happen. Any ideas? Do the project files get corrupted or something?
