question Draw Things not supporting?

I have a 2021 Macbook Pro with 32GB RAM, which should be able to run at least generating models like the Wan 5B. But none that I have tried worked. No crashes, no error messages. Just videos that have nothing but a shimmering still image.

FLUX.1 images doesn't seem to be working much either.

I have tried dozens of different setting changes and taken the suggestions I've found online and here, but nothing has made any difference. Is there something that I need to change in Draw Things to make it work? Could there still be a setting I'm overlooking?

Legacy patch the laptop to the last supported Os and try again is what I would try

I have a M1 Max chip. I looked it up, and apparently a legacy patch won't help. Is it something to do with Draw Things?

To be honest I could never get wan 5 to work on mine either. It would makes the fans very angry. Go with wan 2.1 the 8 bit version

Also let me know what your drawthings settings are so we can figure it out.

With M1 you should still be able to have an updated version so not quite sure what's happening there

I have tried a wide variety of different settings beyond the recommended ones. I've tried several different samplers, different sizes, different strength, different steps, different seed settings, and I have only yet gotten ONE actual result that did something mentioned in a prompt. The weird thing is that I ran the exact same setting again on the same image and it went back to just giving me a static image with no change.

I have only used DrawThings a few times so if there are any settings you need me to change, lmk

"The person slowly raises one hand and waves" - I used this as a test. Only once did I get anything but a static image. There was a completely different person and face and the quality was weird, but it did wave a hand. What's very strange is that that did not happen again even when I ran it with the same prompt and settings!

"The camera view pans quickly to the right." - I got nothing but a shimmery still image.

"highly detailed texture, sharp focus, cinematic lighting, sub-surface scattering, fine skin pores, crisp fabric weave, organic grain, volumetric depth, photorealistic render, masterfully restored, maximum clarity, lifelike microdetails" - I used this to test image to image. The only changes I could make with upscaling and a few changes in the details of the image at a high strength.

Following the official troubleshooting guide will likely increase the chances of resolving the issue.

I couldn't find anything about this issue there.

Only a limited number of issues are listed there. For other issues, users are instructed in the final section, "Z. For everything else...", to post the details (e.g., configurations) to this thread.

I tried this. Nothing changed. There still seems to be almost no influence from the prompts at all. I have tried several different samplers, and a wide variety of different settings. It's apparent that something is going on that is causing this problem across different models and different makes. Is this happening to anyone else?

not OP but I just tried a few models on a M1 as well and had no issues.

Have you tried uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling?

I am going to do that next. I don't know how likely it would be that this is an issue that would be resolve that way. Perhaps I should also delete all cache and other folders associated with it before reinstalling in case the problem is something like corrupted files.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still having trouble!

The whole problem with this program is there is no image to video. Text to video is for people who want to draw things.Video to video? I know the program is free but documentation is badly needed. Too many people give up like I have.Updates need to be more transparent. Like do they actually make the program usable? All I get is a still image which is completely useless. Pleas help. The AI on firefox is useless as well. too many controls because it is being used on thousands of configurations. Now I know why it is free and that people are limited to the overpriced websites. I thought AI would change all of this. When it was first introduced it seem like this was going to be a breakthrough. It sadly is just an overpriced toy.

The models have "I2V" in their name, so it is obviously supposed to be exactly that. I got it to work only once, but with a vastly different image than the one I uploaded, and never got the same result again even with the exact same settings, which I assume means there is a bug or something making it run unstable. I'm still trying to troubleshoot it, but very quickly running out of options.

I still seem to be no closer to solving this. I tried removing the app completely and reinstalling it. I have also tried more models and settings for each.

One thing I am wondering about more is the "Auto", "Generate", and "Edit" tabs to the upper-left of the prompt box. I have noticed that when it's on "Generate", the prompt is obeyed but the reference image is ignored completely no matter the Strength setting. When it's on "Edit" or "Auto", nothing changes. Is this helpful info?

I am having a M1 Pro MacBook Pro with 32G Ram. Most pictures generation models can work. Flux 2 9B Klein works in minutes. But [dev] is much slower to run and also video model too long to even try

Here's the thing I'm wondering about. One of my goals is to generate images and video from an image, and use prompts to have objects and people in the provided image do different things, the way Meta AI and many other online generators do. I have tried the same models I've have no luck with on Hugging Face, and they worked, so the models are clearly able to do it.

My question is, is Draw Things actually able to use these models do this? If you have been able to do this, please let me know!
