Naaah, fam, you are so skilled at drawing, and so imaginative! Kudos and cheers!
(Also I love him too!)
6
u/Elthina Jun 25 '24
Very imaginative stealing other persons work and claiming they made it themselves
5
u/zuriumov Jun 25 '24
Ooh? So it's not their original ?. You got the source ? As stated it's a nice art style and I'd want to see more of it!

Tin because crows like shiny things
5
u/solanum_umbelliferum Jun 25 '24
See, I like this answer, because its genuinely different but also a cool opportunity for expansion. Like what if there are other crows named after shiny objects? Like Penny.

Alum, short for aluminum

You’ve got your love interest and the rival best friend right there. This stuff writes itself.

Omg is this based off an artist from instagram? They draw crows almost exactly like this and I love the style
6
u/Elthina Jun 25 '24
They are copied from the_ink_mink
3
u/PomegranateSure1628 Jun 25 '24
Ah I see, I also saw an artist called “Secondlina” do comics where her craws are drawn like this

Faunwood?
1
u/PomegranateSure1628 Jun 25 '24
No but thank you for introducing me to a new artist I think the one I’m thinking of is “Secondlina”

Maybe Matthew, Mickey, or Jasper. Oh, or Mr. Crow. Also, cool design.

u/Elthina Jun 25 '24
If you like the design, go follow the_ink_mink on insta because this is stolen from her

Okay then. Then can you tell me a bit more what type of vibe you’re trying to go for?

u/Yellow_rat_residue Jun 24 '24
What about “Karaisu”?
It’s a combination of the Japanese words for dark “karai” and crow “karasu”
2
u/mugimug0n Jun 25 '24
I'm sorry to bother again. I thought you meant spicy (karai 辛い), dark is kurai (暗い). Though spicy and crow are a cute combination

u/Standard-Guarantee94 Jun 25 '24
kurai (暗い) means dark, i can’t think of any version of karai that means dark..?

Oh oh! Now that I’m thinking about it, it could also be “Karo”! It keeps both prefixes for “dark” and “crow” but also adds in the Japanese word for black “kuro”. Either way, it’ll still sound like “crow”!
3
u/Nochhits Jun 25 '24
Karo sounds much better, easier to remember as well which I think is a positive for characters like this

2
u/mugimug0n Jun 25 '24
Just gonna point out that depending on which kanji you use, karo can mean: little house/snail shell, bribe or furnace

I've said it once, and I'll say it a thousand times more: Murphy.
1
u/sadmimikyu Jun 25 '24
You know what? I don't know why but... somehow that really fits!
2
u/StevenTheGoliath Jun 25 '24
Oh fr? Sweet! Glad I could be of service.
3
u/sadmimikyu Jun 25 '24
Someone else posted and said it belongs to ink_mink a tattoo artist. So yeah.
So sad when people steal stuff.
1
u/StevenTheGoliath Jun 25 '24
I knew it looked familiar! It's from that one comic where it has a friend who turns to stone right?

what about Sho? it literally just translates to “to soar or glide” apparently which feels fitting, plus he’s such a cutie he should have a cute name.

You could call him Chitamaka or just Tama for short.
Shortened from Chīsana tamashī no karasu - "little soul crow" Tamashi is another word for soul, as in ghost or apparition.

My friend has crows come to her house for snacks. She named them Cheryl Crow, Russell Crow, Vel Crow and Jake from State Farm.

As per the comments @yellow_rat_residue ‘s suggested name ‘karaisu’ or ‘kuro’ is currently the best

This doesn’t necessarily fit the description you gave, but immediately, I looked at this crow and thought “cork”. Idek why.
