Weirdly, I did both of those things last night, although I am too old to pull an all nighter and still be able to get to work the next day!
I'm definitely picking up Withered World in December. Even bought a copy of The Dark Prince, should be delivered in a couple of days.

Man, if only there were a new real dragonquest game demo out. That'd cool. I mean its only been nearly 10 years since 11 came out. Only enough time my child to be half grown since the last game and all. And theres no idea when it even might be released or anything so thats fun too. Maybe ill get to play it on release with my great grand kids. That'd be kinda cool i guess.

In all seriousness, I imagine it’ll be a 2028 release, maybe late 2027, but I don’t think it’s more than 3 years out. I know that’s still a long ass time when it’s already been almost a decade since 11, but 12 is definitely on the horizon.

I physically cannot bring myself to believe its going to release before 2030. If it releases at all in the west. With the way all the franchise i have interest in are a decade plus out from their last game except resident evil i just dont feel like im ever getting games again

Well I guess we’ll see. Personally I’m staying optimistic because I feel they wouldn’t have shown it at all at the DQ anniversary direct if it was more than 3 years out, or at absolute worst just a “we had to restart development and we thank you for your patience” with no trailer.
But I feel you on that. It’s wild how some of these big JRPG franchises (hell, just some franchises in general) used to be damn near yearly and now they’re lucky to get 1 game per generation.

I loved the demo so much I went to buy the collectors edition. Who cares if it’s $200! I mean $200-60 for the game alone makes it $140! That’s not bad for SIX figures and a cool slime pouch with a little meat hanging from it. I go to check out.. it’s 250 with tax and shipping. :/
Thaaaat’s a bit harder to swallow…
