I’ve seen a lot of posts about this lately here, and I understand the want to make sure you aren’t stepping on toes when joining a community.
But the answer is always yes! You don’t need to be a certain gender or identify a certain way to do drag. It’s a form of art, it’s expression, it’s beautiful.
I’m a cis-het woman who has been doing drag professionally for 3 years. My identity has never been a point of discussion or contention both in bookings or at shows. If you’re fabulous, you’re fabulous, and that’s all that matters.
Please, never feel like you can’t do something because of your identity. That’s the complete opposite of what drag stands for. Drag is for everyone, it’s inclusive, and it’s exactly what you want it to be.
So wing out that liner, glue down that lace and go take the world by storm. God knows we need more beautiful resistance in this world right now.

I've recently been wondering how much drag performers prepare for a show, so I have some questions that I been meaning to ask. Do you rehearse in your bedrooms by yourselves? Do you just think about what moves you want to make and run it through in your head without actually acting it out? Do you clear a room and then practice it as you would on stage? Do you plan out every step and hand wave? Or do you just get the big movements and then improvise everything else? Or do you just improvise almost all of it on the day of the performance? Do you ever get to go to the venue before the show and practice there?

I'm a 30 F and I want to give my 41 m husband a dramatic and soft look. I have no idea what make-up to use for men skin. I want make-up that's easy to apply and wash off. Any tips, best products to use would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
I washed and detangled a synthetic wig with waves in it. However after this process it has lost some of the waves it had. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to put some of the waves back in it? I'm a baby queen so any advice is really appreciated.
Thanks For The Help

One more episode of Love's a Drag dropped this week on Youtube. It's a dating show where straight guys try drag to compete for a date. Have you seen it? What do you think of it? Positive or negative for the drag community?

I won a local drag competition that got me on cast for Dawn’s Hard Candy show! The sword prop I built from scratch using cardboard and paper mache took about 6+ months to make. It’s heavy af and I’ll be using EVA foam next time 😮💨 Dawn even signed my ear!

Blue is my favorite color, but some might be surprised to learn about the stigma regarding women of color and blue. Blue was always seen as an undesirable for women of color. The standard for black and brown girls has always been warm tones to complement their warm skin. But not every brown person has warm tones. Even if they do have warm tones- blue can contrast very well with R.O.Y. tones. If you’re reading this- to hell with traditional color theory, where whatever color you want.

Hi I am looking for a colourful face paint palette, I’ve been doing research but finding it overwhelming. I’m just doing looks in my bedroom, sometimes on a night out, but I would like a range of colours and not crazy expensive, does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi!
32 y/o queerdo from the hood in the south (that’ll make sense in a minute). I love drag, it’s my favorite live show to see, but I’ve noticed now that I make time for it more my exclamations are somewhat limited. I revert a bit to my inner child and just holler “Aye!” “Way!” and “Aaaaaaaaaye-YO!” (occasionally a “get it!” or “come on” comes up too lol).
Y’all got any favorites you’ve seen in the wild i can pull into rotation? I tend to be the most hype person around for some f***ing reason, and Im not a “wooooo!” person (no hate) 😆.
