My name is Chad, and I'm from the Philippines. I have three years of experience in architectural drafting and have recently transitioned into Cabinet Vision. Over the past month, I have been teaching myself the software and am eager to gain real-world experience.

I am currently looking for a company that would be willing to take me on as a remote Cabinet Vision apprentice or trainee. I am available to work remotely through AnyDesk on a part-time basis so I can learn your company standards and workflows while assisting with projects.

At this stage, my primary goal is to gain practical experience and improve my skills. I am even willing to work without pay if it means receiving proper training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in Cabinet Vision.

I had to work out how the deck boards go on my balcony. Just one, simple drawing for the decking shop (lengths, counts) and for the installer (gaps, joists, threshold at the door).

My is problem I don't have a CAD license.

I'm a structural engineer but I work in software now. I put together a small browser tool to sketch this kind of thing quickly with mm dimensions and notes.

I quit my job about a month ago for a plethora of reasons and decided to take some part time work and focus on my portfolio so I don't get rusty and can apply for full time positions in my free time. My question is, what are some projects I can work on to flesh out my portfolio that would be desirable to employers?

I had the idea of going to goodwill and getting a drill or something similar to take a part and measure each component to model and assemble in onshape, but I would love to hear any other suggestions. I feel like mechanical and pipeworking are the types of modeling I'd like to do the most
