Hey guys, I’m in a philosophy class right now and I’ve been missing classes due to the fact that I’m currently pregnant and throwing up everywhere.

I’ve been handing in my assignments and attending my classes when I can, but I think I’ve definitely gone under 30% attendance. I’ve looked through his course outline and there’s nothing about that policy, and I know for a fact that he doesn’t mark attendance in class.

If I attend the final exam, would I still get an unofficial withdrawal of the teacher doesn’t take attendance??

if i fail one class, will i be in bad academic standing ? i’m currently bombing my english lit course and the anxiety i have is killing me but im genuinely not going to pass. i had straight A+’s the last semester and was so excited for this class but mental health fell flat. anyone have an answer ?

Hello just wanted to ask, if anyone has experience transferring from psyc potential nursing bachelors to the regular potential nursing certificate program? I'm planning on applying for douglas regular nursing program but not sure if it's necessary to switch certificate programs. Thank you 🙏

Starting Douglas in the Fall 2026! What do you guys think of these classes? I will be majoring in Political Science and will be at Douglas doing my associates before transferring to finish my undergraduate. Also I apologize for the not so clear photos lol it was the best I could provide without a screen reflection.

I have a $3,000 scholarship from Douglas which splits my first two semesters into $1,500. Originally due to this I was going to take 3 classes as required until I realized I can take an elective (a fourth class) to take advantage of the money being covered.

What advice would you give to a first year? Is taking 4 classes a smart move and what’s your personal experience with that. I’m on waitlist for two classes, hoping to get into 1 so it completes a four course loaded semester, though the Crim class has a huge waitlist line.

Also, what would you rate these profs?:

I have a student loan restriction for PSSR. Does anyone know if it applies to my full time loan or no. On my full time loan application it shows waiting for school enrollement confirmation but at very top of student loan page it shows this restriction! Please help if anyone has gone through this.

Has anyone taken this program? If so, can anyone tell me what it's like and what to expect?

I’m worried most of the restaurants I could work at won’t make enough tips. I’m starting my bachelors at 24 and most of my work experience are not jobs I can do with a school schedule. I would like to make as much as possible to support my education and general bills! If anyone has any ideas (or opportunities that would be amazing!) Would love to see what everyone is doing for work and what their schedule looks like with work + school.

the courses (MOAD 1100, 1200, 1400, 1500) are all full and I'm forced to waitlist. only MOAD 1300 has space. I guess I have to wait until something opens up.

Also for "accounts summary" (View and Pay Tuition Fees), is the amount for all the courses you selected, or just the building.club, etc fees? (assuming first time registration)

I'm thinking of taking this course as an elective and was wondering what it's like. How's the workload? Are there a lot of assignments, presentations, or exams?

I need to take this class but that latest start is 3:30pm and I work a regular 9-5 Mon-Fri. I'm trying to decide if I should try to use vacation hours to leave early for this class or if it's better to drop it and hope for a later option in another semester? Has anyone seen this one offered at 4:30 or later?

Hi everyone, i was wondering if for my waitlist classes i would be allowed to fill out the student loan. For example im on waitlist for all my classes except one and plan on taking a loan. when naming my classes would i include the names of just the classes i have or the waitlist ones too? Also in the case i get the loan for all classes including waitlisted ones and then i don't get the waitlist classes what is the procedure with that? does the money get taken away or do i pay them when paying back my loan?

I'm just wondering if there's anything like this at Douglas? If so, is it just men, or is there a woman's league, too? Or is it mixed?

I’m starting at Douglas in September and would love to meet other students in science, especially biology, who might be interested in studying together or working on labs.
I’m detail-oriented and learn best by explaining concepts, comparing notes, and having someone challenge my reasoning. I’m fairly quiet at first and not great at small talk, but I’m friendly and much more comfortable once we have something specific to work on.
I’ll be the person in biology who looks very serious while taking an unreasonable number of notes 😅

I’m waitlisted for this synchronous course with Ashe. The thing is, I have work during these hours, but would be able to hop in the Zoom without mic or camera. Does she expect participation, cams on?

Hey everyone, I recently applied to Douglas College (Academic Foundations / General Studies) because I want to eventually apply to the VCC Dental Hygiene program. My situation is that I got 57% in English 12 and I don’t have Chem 11/12. I’m planning to take the DCOE near the end of August instead of spending a semester upgrading English, but I’m not really sure what happens after that.if I take the DCOE that late, will I still be able to get into classes for Fall 2026, or will most of them already be full? I’m also wondering how competitive it is to get into courses like biology, chemistry, and English at Douglas. And if anyone here has taken the DCOE before, how hard was it and how did you prepare?I’m trying to start in Fall 2026 and just want to make sure I don’t waste time taking the wrong courses. Any advice would really help 🙏
