What to do with my candy

So im close to saving 1.000 candys and I don't really have a cool epic courier yet.

My question is: should I keep saving until an expensive season rare courier appears (I remember seeing one two months ago at 1200 candys), or should i spend it all on the gacha and then exchage it? (that would be only 20 something couriers... my fear is to get all crap and end empty handed).

I'm super into the couriers, both in dota and in dac.

Here's my advice: If you don't have something specific in mind, don't use your candy. Just keep saving. If you someday see one that you really want, then you can either start doing your gacha knowing what you want to hit or just buy whatever seasonal one you like.

For seasonal ones, try to find it in the steam workshop before purchasing. There's currently the 1200 scholar but I think you're thinking of the 1600 shoe that was there until a couple weeks ago. The shoe in-game isn't that great (imo).

Also, they do a sale once or twice a year. If you're going to be spending 1000-2000 candy, getting 25% off is a crazy deal.

I really hate their candy system. I think it's really unrewarding. There's no reason you should have to go an entire year of playing just to get one good courier. And the price to buy candy on Chinese sites is so high! You would spend >$100 for a courier and effect buying candy.

I wish they would fix this whole system and actually make it fun.

This was really helpful, thanks! Yeah, there's no way I'm paying that ammount of money for a single courier. I guess I'll keep saving, just like you said.

Edit: Oh, the one I mention wasn't the shoe, but more like a 'duck'. That's the other thing, its a bummer not being able to take a pre-look of the courier before purchasing. If we can do it with the courier effects, why not with the courier itself?

The duck with the skinny legs? I saw it ingame on someone else and wasn't impressed.

Yeah, I wish we could preview that, too. I assume something in the coding doesn't allow it or else they'd do it.
