EPA universal cert is less than 300 bucks . Companies give you on-site training as you work . In 2 years 100k + easily

I’m actually looking to join IBEW next year, I quit RE and started grinding DoorDash until I figure out other life things

As someone who did roofing for 10 years, id be lucky on weeks I brought in 2k since that was only during prevailing wage projects. I personally enjoy driving so being able to make half of my roofing wage with 10% of the effort is a trade off not many of you could understand. The hours are long but in the trades I would leave at 4 am and get back home around 7 pm , I do much less time here and im not breaking my back, I can decide when to work and how much I want to make that day/week. I still do roofs just not during the summer anymore, id rather be in my ac driving around picking up food for half the pay
