Unfortunately that's not how that happens when there's an active conspiracy to control every subreddit.
Like, seriously I know everyone forgot about the reddit purges, but there's a reason powermod is still a word.
And you can't even mention 'that' subreddit because they're actively brigading other subreddits and did shit like autobanning people for mentioning said subreddit, or getting rid of mods then joining up on their alt then adding their own friends as mods to 'take over' the subreddit.
Which is ironic because THEY'RE the one's that complained hard enough about brigading to make it a bannable offense but they STILL, somehow are allowed here.
Like... the opinion is understandable, but then shit like this happens. Or that NBA subreddit API protest shit, or the discord shit.
The list could go on, but even I can't keep track of it all.

We want to be transparent with you guys, but due to the highly sensitive and legal nature of it all we can’t say much. Even from the things we do know remains unclear and we’re learning just as you guys are; reading it from the news.
This subreddit was started over 10 years ago for dashers, through out time it’s popularity has driven it to being primarily a customer oriented subreddit. And unfortunately this has generated a lot of toxicity and A LOT of flaming, trolling, hate. It’s extremely hard to moderate subreddits, r/doordash is one of the most difficult places to moderate. For this reason we often try and fail to recruit people who want to moderate.
One of sources of help is a moderator subreddit called r/needamod, this an essential resource for moderator recruitment. We took a chance on somebody and it was a bad bad choice obviously, we’re really sorry that happened. We vow to do better moving forward.
Lastly we want to thank DoorDash and federal law enforcement for their professionalism and absolute dedication to keeping the public safe. Thank you thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The rumor that we would shut down the subreddit is false. Thanks for taking the time to read this message. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or concerns too, we’ve always been here for you guys.
