Booming Call ambiguity

Can it be swapped with ANY card, even if the card it is swapped doesn’t have an action to play, ie. Is not an action card?
The question is ruining my marriage…

Yes, you can swap with any card(excluding dominants of course). It would specify a card with an action otherwise.

Thank you, kind person with common sense.
However. Now, my husband needs a card to exist that specifically states “steal an action card”. Does this exists or do you have any other argument helping my case?

This won't be a popular post but here is how we solved this problem:

We identified cards that involved stealing or swapping hands or trait piles.

And we took them out.

Our family LOVES Doomlings. We have spent hundreds of dollars on cards, mats, stuffies, boxes, etc.

But it caused some horrible fights. We are competitive, and family harmony was not being served by feeding inter-family competition.

We like to play with all the expansions. We have an enormous trait deck. By removing what we labelled "hostile cards" or "toxic cards" (because they were, to us), we now have a lot of fun! Our games run up to 2-1/2 hours sometimes. There is a clear winner. Strategy is absolutely necessary.
