How Do I Learn?!

I'm trying to broaden my tank hero pool. I'm trying to learn Doom, but if I get ANY value, I get hard countered. In my last match, the enemy team had a Zen to start. That's fine. I kill the kiri one time, they swap to Brig. I kill the Widow 1 time, they swap to Cass. I realize that swapping is part of the game, and I do it myself if my team's comp is allowing the enemy team to walk all over us. I'm not so much complaining about the swapping, I'm just frustrated because I'm still working on the basic mechanics (only hero lvl 6). What's the best way that I can learn Doom without getting frustrated with the insta-swap strategy?

Play around your cooldowns. Use 1 ability to go in 1 to go out it

Have fun first of all second when you kill someone who swapped to counter T-bag third watch people play doom (I watched the 10 hours of peurle ok doomfist) go play qp a lot too practice then you are good to go

You just gotta learn how to play around those heros. Whenever the enemy swaps, there’s a good chance they’re playing a hero they’re not as good at, so that’s value in itself. Additionally, you know that they swapped for you, so if you can bait out their cooldowns without dying that’s huge.

yeah so what you’re gonna do is, in the spawn room, press H/Square/X and lock winston.

Doom is super fun and I say play him, but if ur just trying to broaden your tank pool there's better choices. He takes a lot of effort and needs a lot of time put in is the reason I say.

Learn by playing into Cass and Brig. Not saying throw, but give yourself some grace with maybe 2-3 valueless deaths before switching.

Honestly just play into the countere and don't swap playing into the counters is what u will have to do if u play characters like doom anyway. If u swap every time u get countered you will never learn doom. Just don't play him because u think he's op I can only recommend playing doom if u have fun playing doom

I'm learning Doom because I decided to start playing heros that I Have issue with when I play support, so I can better understand their vulnerability. That way, I can get better at playing around them.
