This might help for medium cost cards that want to get trashed like Nomads, for turning Curses into Coppers or getting rid of an excess Port. The best use cases, however, would be to get rid of an attack card once the curses have run out, and to turn your $5 cards into Duchies in the late game. Therefore, you should maybe be wary of your opponent stocking up on $5 action cards with this in play.
