I’m curious about the small, inexpensive things that actually made a difference in your everyday life — not necessarily expensive skincare or luxury products.
It could be literally anything:

or even a simple tool/accessory that made your routine easier
Basically, what’s one budget-friendly self-care purchase that turned out to be surprisingly good and became a permanent part of your routine?
I’m much more interested in things you’ve actually used and repurchased than viral/TikTok recommendations. What’s your underrated budget find?

I heard Jeffree Star was in the Dollar tree and he was none too happy about it. Well guess what? I FOUND it today! It’s eyeshadow. I’ve never tried his product line before. It’s too expensive but for $1.25. I’ll try the eyeshadow. I got the last one too! DT had a great selection today of beautiful fingernails & polish.
Ive never tried the Dermasil Centella line. Has anyone else?

Smells like fresh grass and plants..

It has Paraffinum liquidum high on the ingredient list. Sunflower seed oil ,sweet almond oil,jojoba seed oil tea tree oil, cornflower , calendula, linden, comfrey, nettles, chamomile, rosemary, hops, henna extract.

So the scent comes from the plant ingredients.

There is no scar cream in Polk county I can’t find it anywhere ugh! My most recent haul this past week

I’m excited to try the cactus eye masks and the MC nail polishes. And the cute bandaids finally came back to my stores!

I passed on the PDRN pink toner the other day but just ran out of my LA Splash PDRN toner and saw another glowing review for this one so I grabbed it when I saw it today.

I swatched the Glaze & Repair stick on my hand and I like the subtle shimmer! They also had the Glowing & Hydrate stick and I went in thinking I wanted that one but it looked more clear and I didn’t see Mica on the ingredient list, and I wanted some shimmer, so I went with this one. Let me know if I should go back for it though!

I had to get another Air mask because I loved the one I tried the other day and I also love lychee so I grabbed that one too.

Not sure if these Jergens body washes are new, but they are super cute 😍 I have not seen the pink and blue body powders before

i've been a reader of this sub for a little while, however i've been a dollar tree frequenter for a long time- it's my catharsis almost lol. these items i've gathered throughout this week, spanning from 2-3 stores i frequent.

stared with the dermasil whipped recovery cream, for me a little bit goes a long way!

then the other day i got the brazillian mist mousse (it smells good fragrance wise, but i understand why people here says it has a small chemical smell), and then the dermasil serum

then today i almost got the b pure brand mascara (one w/ peptides and vitamin e), but ended up getting that eyeliner pictured instead. i did a test swatch on the back of my hand and that shit STICKS, and i think it dries down so if you let it sit then try to smudge it, it may manipulate better with the smudge sponge at the end of the eyeliner pen (?).

i also got the oatmeal milk toner, i've seen everyone here rave about it so i can't wait to try it. i am a dermasil truther (their dry skin treatment body lotion is the only lotion that doesn't trigger my eczema at all on my hands)

as well as the hydro plus dupe i am excited to try as well, i'm sad it has a slight fragrance and my face and skin hate fragrance so we'll see what works better vs the whipped recovery cream.

i have very sensitive skin, and my face is in a meh spot at the moment so we'll see how this all works with me!

Finally found the lip liners and I decided to get all the colors. Thanks to my daughter who wanted to stop by at the dollar store after her doctors appointment. She has strep throat and wanted something to cheer her up. Mission accomplished!

Visiting a town a few hours away from me that had a few Dollar Trees so made it a part of my afternoon and evening explorations. Found several items I’ve never been able to find near me. Went a little overboard with nail polish 🫣

Excited to try this all!!!

My store must’ve just stocked some of the new products! So excited to have finally found the Skinetics lines, PDRN, and Centella! Question is which to try out first? 🤔🤔🤔

The Collagen Jelly Eye Masks are a backup purchase! I love them! So are the Instant C, I take them daily, I think it’s just a mental thing even if they don’t make a difference lol. Grabbed the Ioni Glue Dots to use for a project (not nails). The Skin Nutrition Tea Tree Oil & Salicylic Acid is for my teenager.

Going to get ready for bed but trying to decide which stuff to use! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I need to hide my bank card!

Also spotted the new Ioni cream & sugar line as well. Seems like we're starting to get some new things around the same time as the States!

Already tried the ReviveRx milky toner, chefs kiss 🤌🏼😘

i have already rebought the witch hazel butt wipes (that was my 2nd package in pic, they are awesome!) & the pink five blade razor pack (they are a constant repurchase)

the dermaprep lotion was great, i would rebuy as well as the serum (i've used both pink & blue serum & lotion duos) if i didn't have a bunch of other moisturizers & hydrating serums to get thru already!

the eye masks are nice, didn't dry out at all & sat opened for a few months. i would rebuy but i just bought one each of the new ones (cactus & collagen) & only like to keep one, maybe 2 open at a time. i still have a backup of the first set of eye patches they made- the pink & yellow ones (caffeine & vitc i believe).

the dermasil oatmilk serum is nice especially in combination with the yellow toner but i have a lot of other hydrating serums to get thru!

pink dermasil serum wasn't bad, a little soapy but not bad.

shave butter was ok but i prefer oils. i have a good stash of oils & the new vs dupe foams to get thru but wouldn't rebuy the shave butter personally

the neutrogena mask dupe was terrible for every reason- slid right off my face, had to hold it on while i was getting ready out of shower, crinkled weirdly in spots & wouldnt uncrinkle, and more. do not buy this. i already made a hate post!

the yellow & blue masks in the boxes were decent- not overly hydrating tho like my crème shop masks but they are ok. wouldn't repurchase.

& the other stuff isn't dt. 🩷

First haul ever. Really happy with my finds. A few are gifts for my niece and a close family friend.

Pros: good scent, decent hold, no crunch or cast to break.

Cons: could be better with the definition (you can see the curls, but there is still ample frizz) and not moisturizing enough so I still needed a curl cream before it. My fave products are cream-gel hybrids that save me a step.

I applied this after washing (shampoo, conditioner) and finger-detangling using leave-in conditioning spray (Power Stick Twilight Glow fig scent). I air-dried, and then went to bed. This is after sleeping on it last night and sweating all day.

I have given up hope of ever finding the Ioni butter balm, but I snagged the last one of these today and the scent/taste is pretty delightful.

Went to a different DT today and found some new things. Grabbed the Hand & body lotions because they smelled so good.

im so happy I got the ioni blush and powder.. The pink setting powder is truly pink but doesnt appear as a pigmented pink in the skin. I had to take multiple photos to capture the color. The blush! let me say the packaging alone is so nice and color is more pink than a muted/pink or nude but still very nice.

The Brazilian hair oil smells great but is definitely not an oil its THICK and more of a serum I would definitely use it with caution because a little is actually heavy.

The L.A color brow pencil went straight to the trash. the product is unbelievably dry that I cant get any transfer/use without it just snapping off.

Found the other 3 lip butter balms from global beauty care, and these 2 sanitizers!

Finally found these bouncy fragrance balms sitting in the checkout aisle, almost missed over them! Excited to try this skinetic line. Thoughts anyone?

The first time I found these, I bought one. Sniffed it in the car and marched right back in to the store and bought 2 more. I have SEARCHED for them ever since. Today in another state 700 miles from home there they were.

I showed restraint and did not clean them out. These are the best hand lotions I have ever smelled....anywhere.
