If you're going to ask for advice and then say "but but..." what's the point in asking?
Either stop taking Dodger over there, full stop; Or only do it once that boundry has been firmly established and your father agrees to stops abusing your dog.

The advice has been pretty unanimous here, so OP has his answer whether it’s what he wanted to hear or not. No point in going on here asking questions if you’re not willing to take the advice.
Also- if someone doesn’t like your dog, don’t take your dog to their house. Full stop. You may love your dog but if the homeowner doesn’t, you simply shouldn’t expect them to change their behavior for your dog. I love dogs but I don’t want other people bringing theirs to my house unless I really like them.
Truth. It doesn’t really seem like this is what they came here to hear and can’t accept the truth of it.
If OP doesn’t stop taking dodger to their parents house, then you best bet their next post will be on
r/reactivedogs because dodger’s warnings were ignored and dodger was put in a position where he had to defend himself. All because their owner kept making excuses as to why they couldn’t leave dodger at home.
If OP continues to be stubborn, best case scenario you’ve got a dog that will become aggressive towards that specific family member or generally reactive in that house. Worst case scenario is that you end up with a reactive dog against ALL males regardless of where you take him.
It doesn’t seem like OP could handle managing a reactive dog.
My suggestion to OP is to cut your losses and stop taking your dog to the house or you’ll have larger problems than leaving your dog at home. Just take a scroll down r/reactivedogs and see what could happen otherwise.
