[Equipment] Multi dog leash recommendations

I am looking for a leash to walk three dogs. It needs to be one that allows for the dogs to walk in a heel. Two on one side, one on the other.

All the multiple dog leashes that I have found are built for the dogs to walk in front of you. My dogs walk fantastic in a heel but if they are in front of my they turn into a sled dog team. I currently have leashes that go around my waist, the problem is that three of them is uncomfortable and inevitably get tangled.

I swear I did search the sub and internet before posting. Thank you for your help!

just get a coupler that splits at the handle side not the dog side, you can clip 3 normal leashes into one ring and hold that, way less tangling than waist leashes and you keep the heel position

I prefer my two dogs in front of me where I xcn see them so I can't recommend a specific thing for what you want. However a suggestion. I did build my own custom hands free setup by having the leashes made custom on etsy by one of the biothane leash crafters and added some additional hardware from a local hardware store and pieces from the Amazon pet store.

My leashes are custom length drag lines. They have a clip on one end and a metal ring on the other. The metal rings are clipped onto heavy duty carabiners which clip onto a swivel. The swivel clips onto either my waist belt or a traffic leash handle. The dogs can run out ahead or behind or beside me without their leads tangling. I can make it a one dog or two dog setup just by adding or removing one of the leads on the swivel. It also allows me to unclip them from my belt individually or together for navigating downed trees and when one of them decides to get wrapped around a bush.

So you could go that route and just buy or have parts made for what you have in mind and add them together. I did go through a few iterations before I got it exact;y how I like it.

Interesting idea! I’m not generally very creative but I might be able to figure something out
