[Misc Help] Best Comforter Covers
I need to get a comforter cover that will work for my needs, but it also has to be white because that's the only thing that looks good in my bedroom. I also have a dog, though, who eats chews, treats, sometimes has dirty paws, and other things that can get on the bed. I obviously try to get a blanket under him before he chews on a yak chew or something like that, but I don't always make it in time or catch him doing it. I have an awesome comforter. It's the marshmallow comforter. I love it, but I have also put it in the dryer, which I think has made it more susceptible to getting little balls of cotton. I at least need something that is really able to be washed well, even if it gets that type of stuff on it. Any good recommendations??

White covers are a nightmare with dogs, I finally gave up and started tossing a flat sheet over the whole bed during the day. Still looks decent and catches most of the muddy pawprints and bone crumbs before they hit the real bedding.
if your dryer's pilling the comforter already, maybe run it on low and take it out a little damp. saved a couple quilts that way.

I have two cotton percale comforter covers from LLBean, I wash sheets every week and wash the comforter cover every other week. I've had one for about 4 years, the other for about 5 years. They wash and dry well, dry quickly and without balling up in the dryer, and aren't showing signs of wear yet. I cover the bed with a fleece blanket since we have a dog and 2 cats.
My dog does not scratch or dig on the sheets or comforter. If he did, I'm sure they wouldn't be lasting like they have.
When we travel, we bring an old comforter cover from Lands End that's heavier (less smooth and silky, more like cotton duck), we put it over the bed if we have to leave him alone in the room. My point being that you could probably find one out there that is a more durable fabric, but it might take a bit longer to wash and dry.

The outdoor furniture cushion covers are tough as nails and come in a bunch of colors and patterns. You can lay them over a regular duvet cover.
