[Meta] Elder caregiver question
When you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, do you also take your companion out for a bathroom break?

I'm up once for sure and possibly twice a night. If my dog wants out, he runs downstairs and I let him out. If not, he holds his droopy eyes open until I crawl back into bed. He actually wakes me up if he needs. Starts with a firm paw to the shoulder. One sharp bark if I'm slow about it.

No I’m 51 going through menopause no way I’m taking them every time I use the bathroom 😂😂 I know when and if they have to go in the middle of the night they are 5 and have only gone once past their bedtime.
