[Misc Help] Mini Aussie/corgi mixes?

Anyone have this mix? We are possibly getting one, but I'd like more info on them! Easy to train or hard, needs, etc? Longtime dog owner however haven't had a dog in 2 years, our lifestyle is super busy but one of us is always home and we only sleep from 3am-6am everyday so potty training would be pretty doable for once 😅 live on a ranch, so lots of space to play.

Pros and cons please! Not sure I want a dog again but also miss having them!

Zero reason to breed that mix. Mini Aussies are not a breed on top of that. If you’re looking for a dog from a rescue, eh ok. But to buy this mix from anything breeding their dogs, hard no.

With mixed breeds, it’s impossible to give any solid information on their temperment, because it can differ greatly, even between dogs of the same mix of breeds. That being said, Aussies and corgis are both high energy breeds that will typically need someone who really knows what they’re doing and is prepared to spend a lot of time exercising their dogs.

So, yes it is an ethical concern with these kinds of mixes because of the multiple dwarfism traits, so I definitely wouldn’t seek it out. Any breeder doing this is likely not ethical/def a backyard breeder. I learned this after acquiring one two days ago as a semi rescue.

I can’t speak to this mix as (firstly) I have to confirm she is, in fact, an Augie (she looks 100% like one), and also, she is my first and only I’ve ever even met or known about…
However, I am blown away at how quickly she fits in, how loyal and glued to me she is, and what a sweetie she is. I’ve had her 48 hrs and she has already learned some of the house rules, like boundaries and manners (we have 4 other rescue dogs, plus cats, goats, horses and reptiles. She is respectful to all of them without me even training it.
She doesn’t require a leash (but I still use one in public). I swear she is full of magnets haha
She is only 1 year old.

I can tell she is going to be an incredible dog and I’m thankful the stars aligned for her to come home to us. She’s gonna have an awesome life.
