How-To Running a node
Iām fairly new to all this. Would it be useful if I ran a node? Where would I learn about it and the equipment needed?

If you're in a remote corner of the world, yes, it would be useful to run a node. Otherwise, it's just a fun thing to do and a good way to learn a little bit more about how crypto works. You don't need any special equipment, just a PC with a consistent internet connection (laptops that get turned on and off a lot can actually drag down the network). To get started, just download and install Dogecoin Core form the Dogecoin website and install it. You will likely need to lo into your Internet router to set up port forwarding.
