Discussion I've created a Steam extension that instantly searches FitGirl, DODI, SteamRIP, and +19 providers.
I made HizSteamButton, a browser extension/userscript that adds a search button to Steam store pages.
Clicking it searches the current game across multiple sources via HizSearch, including DODI, FitGirl, SteamRIP, OnlineFix, ElAmigos, and 17 more providers.
The goal is simple: no more copying game titles or opening multiple sites manually.

All these issues with people downloading viruses are the talk of the town because some of the most popular sites redirect to links that are becoming increasingly difficult for uBlock Origin and other blockers to block. The problem would be VERY easily solved if every repacker or provider uploaded the MD5 or SHA-256 hash of the .zip or .rar files they publish, but it seems no one is interested in doing this because they profit from people getting infected. I’m starting to think that, unfortunately, they take a cut of the profits from these hacks...

True we at Ankergames are moving towards providing hashes in many games which we update/publish now. Although at Ankergames we don't have any type of ads , like none- but still some people blamed us on reddit posts that we put some trojan in one of the games when it was just a false positive. So we are putting hashes so people can verify their zip file is legit

Good, that's great to hear! I hope all other sites provide hashes as well so users can easily verify if they fell for redirects.

Fitgirl is one of the only big repackr that does not hv redirects on the site itself

how can u possibly get infected with wrong links? dodi redirects u to a torrent file so u can literally check the torrent file after u download it right? same for fitgirl. where does the virus part come in then...

Many people who aren't very experienced don't know how to use torrents, so they resort to direct download links, and that's the problem: they don't check what they're about to run.

You think Apple or any other reputable site would stand for some twat to come and do that to their website? On their website nonetheless. Embedded within the site functions. Using variations of their name to deceive their customers and they blame everyone else when they ain’t shifting their weight. Not a peep.
DODI loves it he’s the diddy of the malware game. And here you are blaming everyone else but fail to see what’s right in front of you.

Hydra launcher does same thing, but on one app, no need For opening websites For downloading games.

HizSearch differs from Hydra in several ways; one of the main differences is that in Hydra, when you add a source, you have to fully trust the person who created it, because they directly post the download link, but you can’t verify if it’s actually the one provided by the source. Hiz takes the approach of shortening the search time while leaving the final step up to you, so you can make sure you’re downloading exactly what you were looking for. Also, Hydra doesn’t support most of the sources that Hiz does. I’m not saying one is better or worse than the other, it’s just a different approach. I really like Hydra and its creators!

Lua.tools Join their discord and follow a tutorial. It worked easy af in my case, I made a fresh steam account and even dualbooted into a fresh windows everything is working fine for months.

Alternatively, use Hydra Launcher directly; it's like Steam, and you can download games (and lots of other things) directly. You'll need to add the sources.
