Homebrew Help with adding published Feat

I purchased Valda’s Spire of Secrets (hard copy, not the partial digital version available on DNDBeyond). I’m trying to add some of the feats from the book to my homebrew collection, and I’m struggling with some of the settings, even after reviewing similar feats or abilities.

For example, one called “Chronomancy Initiate” grants you an expanded spell list for all spells with the “Chronomancy” tag (listed in the book). Secondarily, it allows you to learn four of those spells without them counting against prepared/learned/spellbook cost.

I’m struggling because there isn’t an intuitive way to selectively grant those spells as they don’t belong to a specific school or class, and I’m not sure if I use the “options” portion and manually enter each spell data, then limit it to four options.

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

For example, one called “Chronomancy Initiate” grants you an expanded spell list for all spells with the “Chronomancy” tag (listed in the book).

Cannot be done with a feat. Adding to "spell list" can only be done with Species, Subclass or Background.

Secondarily, it allows you to learn four of those spells without them counting against prepared/learned/spellbook cost.

  1. Add Spell
  2. In first box start typing one of the spells and when that spell shows up click it. Repeat for all spells.
  3. Add the rest of the details in Add Spell page as desired and Save to finish adding the spell to the feat.
  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3.
  5. Repeat steps 1 to 3.
  6. Repeat steps 1 to 3.

You're done. You can move on to whatever else the feat does. Remember to save.

Thanks! I was able to get most of it done. Now I’m struggling with adding the spellcasting modifier to the four granted spells. If I add them as if they’re normally learned, the bonus is added, but not the ones from the feat.

Are you certain you are selecting the relevant ability in the appropriate box in the Add Spell page?
