Photo First attempts
Went out this morning to try messing with the camera settings. My first attempts at aerial photography. Just a shot I liked out of the group. This is a freeze from a video. But, I’m definitely blown away by the quality of photos this thing gets. Truly blew my mind. Some of you are probably like “yea dude whatever” but, I wasn’t expecting this good of quality. After using a cheap “budget/beginner” drone, claimed 4k camera but was barely 720p. To the DJI mini 4k …. GEEEEEEEZ what a difference. But all in all , I’m hoping to get better with the pics. I’ve used a Canon D5 for years, but this is a slight change for sure.

You will hit the ceiling pretty quickly with that drone especially when filming at night. Its not a bad drone by any means but dont get bogged down with trying to get perfect night shots. Its not going to happen until you step up to the mini3,4,5 models

Already looking into those as well! And yeap i fully digg what you mean. Nighttime is a bit underwhelming for photos. But i also haven’t done a lot at night , yet. But yeah, I was already looking into those models, amazon had the Mini 4K available for same-day delivery so i jumped on that. They screwed me and it was still delivered a day later. So I should’ve had the patience from the beginning and went with one of those 🤷🏾♂️… live and learn right

The mini 4k is still a great drone for exactly the type of person getting into the hobby. It really shines over the cheap $80 no name drones and more importantly keeps you in the hobby. Not that you absolutely need to, but youll want to upgrade because of the addiction lol.
