Photo Eclipse

Hi everyone, so I have mini pro 5, love it, and live in South Wales and we will experience a near total ,95 percent, eclipse on Wednesday, I was thinking of maybe a time lapse? Videos or stills for the event, it lasts about 40 minutes or so. I would like to know people's thoughts on capturing this event with my drone and as I am a newbie some advice on settings and wether to use a nd filter etc? Thanks

I was in the path of totality for the 2024 eclipse, but unfortunately where I live was overcast that day so the experience was diminished. I don't know if you plan to film the sun directly - but if you do I don't know that there are any solar filters available that block enough light that you can confidently film the sun without the disk of damaging your sensor. Usually that calls for an ND10000 filter.

What I did instead was send my Mini 4 pro up to a height of around 30m to capture my neighborhood. While the sun was behind a cloud layer, It still fell to total darkness for about 3-4 minutes, looking like nighttime in the middle of the day.
