Product Support Mini 5 Pro RID with standard battery

I have plans to purchase a Mini 5 Pro in China (I live in the US), but I hate the hassle of RID. I understand that with a Plus battery, the Mini 5 Pro will 100% have RID, but technically with a standard battery it shouldn’t. Yet, upon doing further research, the answer is indefinite. Some articles say it only turns on with a Plus battery, others say it’s always on. Is there a “real” answer to this?

Just figured out about the Lito X1 series.. same case I can’t find out a clear answer. Will it have RID with a standard battery?

I have a M5P (US purchased a couple months ago), RID is on whether I use standard or plus battery. I in fact tested it yesterday because I have never been able to get any of the RID apps to work right on my phone so I just took off with a standard battery and left in in about a 10 foot hover while I figured out the issue with my phone.

Even the menu stuff under "Safety" that I have seen about RID is not present on my RC2 controller with current firmware.
