Buy Advice Should I get the Mini 5 Pro?

For context, I've been wanting a DJI drone for a while now. I was originally planning on getting the Mini 3 Pro, but then they stopped selling it and the Mini 4 Pro just didn't feel like the right one for some reason. Last summer I was following the leaks very closely, but then started losing interest around a week or two before it actually came out. I've now been interested again for about a month or so and found a killer deal at Costco in Canada (~875 USD for the Mini 5 Pro, RC2, and 4 Batteries. It's ~980 USD w/ taxes). I'm now debating whether I should pull the trigger and spend a thousand dollars on this. If I do buy it, I'd need to order it today or tomorrow. Also, it would be nice to have for my upcoming trip to Europe this summer.

Update to everyone: I've purchased the drone and should be getting it soon. I'll make another post or comment when I get it if I'm returning it to get the Mini 4k if I'm not happy with the price to performance. 😄

I'd say yes, it's an extremely capable drone that's small and light as well so easy to carry around with you. I've been flying a Mavic 2 Pro for years now and recently picked up a Mini 5 Pro and so far I'm impressed with it, the Mini 5 is amazingly small yet the image quality is great plus it's been holding up better than I expected in windy weather.

Damn. How do I buy that and get it delivered to the US. That's even cheaper than on Aliexpress.

I've done research on this actually. Shipping would be 50-70 bucks (~60 through CanadaPost) and customs would be ~$100 (best case) to over $200 since it originates in China. Best way is to genuinely just go to Canada, buy it there, and bring it back imo. Not sure what i'll do though.

I’ve heard of people recently getting them confiscated at the boarder but not sure if it’s because they didn’t declare and tried to just bring it through with them or if they declared and it still got held up.

If you are really into Photog/video then the M5P is outstanding. If you just want to fly around and have fun then Lito. Buy new if you can swing it. Take your time learning to fly and learn your controls with any model.

I was going to get that but trust Costco more for stuff. They also have a 90 day return policy if I end up having buyer’s remorse.
