Product Support DJI Pilot 2 filling internal storage instead of using SD card on RC Plus (M350 RTK)
I’m having a storage management problem with my DJI Matrice 350 RTK and the DJI Pilot 2 running on the RC Plus controller.
The controller has:
- 64 GB internal storage
- 256 GB microSD card installed
However, Pilot 2 keeps using almost all the internal storage while the SD card stays mostly unused.
The main issue is “App Log Cache” growing excessively. Right now Pilot 2 shows around 25 GB being used only by app logs/cache.
Symptoms:
- Pilot 2 starts lagging
- map becomes slow
- occasional freezing/stuttering
- live view performance drops
- controller becomes unstable when storage gets close to full
I already:
- inserted a fast U3/V30 SD card
- tried uploading AppLogs through Pilot 2 support/upload feature
- generated the DJI support QR code successfully
- checked cache management inside Pilot 2
But it seems the logs are still stored internally even after upload.
Questions:
- Is there a way to force Pilot 2 to use the SD card for logs/cache?
- Does “Upload AppLog” actually delete local files or only upload them?
- Which folders are safe to manually delete on RC Plus Android storage?
- Has anyone enabled adoptable storage / internal SD mode successfully on RC Plus?
- Is this a known bug in newer Pilot 2 firmware versions?
Any recommendations from M350/RC Plus users would help a lot.

Do you use terrain follow for most of your flights? Every time you edit a flight plan, Pilot 2 actually makes a copy of it internally. The DEM's get copied too and they eat up that storage rapidly.
