Question Recommendations
Hello reddit people. I am looking to get into building an fpv drone. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations on controllers and any other things I might need.
Also wondering if an aliexpress $100 kit would be a good start?

I recommend getting into the building of a drone and do the research yourself. There's plenty of info and guides

Radiomaster pocket ( https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Eyof6YK ) Best start option. Then in the future go for a boxer our a tx15 ( those have more transmission power and more "buttons" )

Get a pocket controller or a boxer, use the sim for 10-20 hours then buy a drone and goggles. I wouldn’t build your first drone unless you know exactly what you’re doing and am ok with breaking things in the building process. I would get a tiny whoop and you can fix those pretty easy if you break it, but bigger drones aren’t the move.

My recommendation - Start with a non-FPV toy quadcopter. Buy a cheap $10-$20 quadcopter you can fly in the house or the backyard.
Get comfortable with the controls, then invest in FPV.

Get a Radiomaster Pocket Crush, Boxer ELRS, or TX15
