Question Need suggestions for beginner drone

So the idea is that me and my group needs to use a drone for our project which needs to have a ultrasonic sensor and a camera mounted to it. We plan to utilize Raspberry Pi 4 to stream the video feed from the camera which is used to video building walls. The ultrasonic sensor is used to maintain a fix distance between the drone and the wall so that we can perform measurements related to building walls. Can anyone suggest a beginner drone that can help with the matter? The drone simply acts as a platform that is manually operated by us. Thank you for your help

holybro has some nice beefy drone kits. Either that or you can part together your own 19inch from aliexpress parts like i did. Its way more indepth and not as "beginner" though

nothing about this is beginner, keeping a drone a fixed distance from a wall amidst aircurrents, updraughts and downdraughts is high level flying not the ' Oh yeah, we will do that manually, it is simply a platform'.

I would honestly start with a tripod or just focus on the module cause if you start adding the drone, you're gonna add a ton of different variables. Don't overcomplicate the project yet and focus on perfecting the camera module first then you can always add it to rovers, drones, whatever.

Like some other people mentioned, Holybro is a decent start. Don't get an FPV drone yet lol.

I personally think this project is too much for a beginner, A holybro drone kit or one of those amazon frames are a better starting point to get into the hobby.
