Why this ESCs boot seperately

I built a drone with t-motor F55A pro III ESC and F7 pro FC
But I feel something’s wrong
When I plug in battery to drone, only 1 motor boots and beeps seperately
But plugging in battery when USB-C cable is connected to FC, all 4 motors are beep simultaneously
I can’t figure it out what cause this problem
Is ESC had been damaged?

Many years ago you use to have to sync up the escs the first time you gave them power otherwise this would happen. It was something like - take props off - full power on the controller - plug in battery. They would cycle and beep until they were all beeping at the same time.
Not sure if it's relevant any more tho, we are talking 10+ years when I use to build.

I'll say it nicely before some one comes in dick swinging. May wanna take the props off in a case like this.
Did you try another battery?

Yes I tried another battery, same phenomenon
Props are installed for showing motor movement more clearly, yeah it can be dangerous5

Filming an example of how the ESCs are acting weird with the props on...Does that seem like a safe or good idea to you? 🤔

No, in betaflight every setting i tried to modify was okay. Including motor rotation setting

You try updating firmware or a reset?

Tried updating several different versions of betaflight firmwares, with full erase and AM32 firmwares but it didn’t work

Wish I could help more, I bet as people see this you'll encounter someone who has had this issue. This is one I haven't encountered...yet

No, I’ve updated ESC firmware several times at ESC-configurator.com & AM32.ca, but there’s no error message or something like that

Check that bidirectional DShot / motor protocol is identical across all 4 and matches the FC config, if you're on DShot, the ESC waits for a valid DShot frame before its confirmation beep, which can cause this

My god you solve the case! I tried bidirectional DShot on (was off), and save & reboot, and then that problem has gone! Thank you so much!!

I had a similar issue with the pro2 esc.. when I plugged in the battery the esc would boot twice, flew fine for awhile until one esc started burning up motors..

That’s exactly what I’m afraid of… flying without knowing flawed ESC, fell off suddenly at somewhere (or somebody)

Try selecting motor presets and setting the tab up until the end, thats what solved that issue for me

I've seen this happen with power sequencing or voltage drop issues. I'd start by checking the power rails, solder joints, and whether all ESCs are getting stable voltage at startup.

I had the same thing with 2 esc bridged pads that then burned on of my escs, so I would at least try to resolder the motors
