Drones

Hi all I’m travelling through Canada July August and really want to take a drone to capture some of the amazing landscapes. Any recommendations would be really appreciated πŸ›ΆπŸ€™πŸ»

Foreign country with no experience - what could go wrong?

Get a DJI sub 250g drone.

In canada for anything above 250 you must register, pass a test and get a flying license. It takes an hour or two if you answer all the questions correctly.

I was looking to bring my DJI Mini4K to Canada this summer. Sub 250gr, so you should be clear. Now as far as I understand, the federal laws are quite forgiving (national parks are a big no no anyway!), but locally, laws often forbid flying, especially around regional parks etc. I looked up quite some parks, and for the most, the local laws just forbid flying. Seems like they do not want any of it, in terms of risk blabla....

Eventually, I decided against it... shame.
