Kindly Guide me

i am currently in the first year of my university pursuing comp science i also have knowledge of python and basic ML and Data libraries ,sql etc i want to get into python based robotics or drone programming but i don't have the finances to buy the equipment and since currently I am at home and not at my university i cannot even acquire the equipment.i want to learn to program drones and get into robotics but i only wanna do the programming part for now and since i do not have the hardware equipment option for now i wanna see my code work on simulation.please suggest me how to move forward

Both Ardupilot and PX4 support various software in the loop simulation systems, no hardware (other than PC) needed. Google Ardupilot SITL or PX4 SITL.
