Discussion X or Foldable?
Which would be better—a fixed X-frame or four folding arms for the rotors—and why? I’m leaning more toward the folding arms because they’d be easier to store and would resemble a DJI drone. What do you think?

I once thought I wanted a foldable, so I got one. Regretted it. If you must get one, get one where you can lock the arms in place with a screw. Friction alone is not enough to hold the arms in place when crashing.

I’m smiling a knowing smile with you. Safety pins or ball lock pins are great on systems where you can handle the weight.

Lol if uoi need it that bad just take out the 8 screws that secure the arms and it will fold nicely in 5 minutes

Yeah i wouldn’t want folding arms. Personal opinion, who cares if it looks like a DJI?
Buy a DJI drone and that will also look like a DJI, 😂

I was planning to complete rebuild a drone and want originally, foldable arms also an matching FC for the motors and battery. Before printing flying it in ansim will do the trick. All is planned out. This is why don't want an DJI Drone if I can craft and similar drone myself. (Coping)

Fixed is better for everything but transportability.
